Track 4 : my heart became bizarre,

      There’s a hole in my heart where your child once was. I feel physically ill because I think of it so much. Well, the belly of the beast must be my own stomach, for the void is so vast and vacuous.
     There’s a space in my heart that once held your child, but it shriveled up and died at a mere nine weeks old. It must have been symbolic foreshadowing, when a part of you died in me.

Always trying, but my heart always fails. Always trying, but my heart always fails.

    Well, my heart has become but a worthless plot of land. Even kids and picket fences couldn’t possibly withstand how the forest burned away when you burned our bridge, and your reign over me brought the thunder clouds in, and the storms made the tides that carried you away to a shore line of lies and my unceasing faith. You will linger on me when your thoughts cross the sky, but this cannot be our last goodbye.

Goodbye always trying, but my heart always fails. Always trying, but my heart always fails.

     All along I thought I knew, but shock, surprise, along came you and I was thrown out of my comfort zone. My conscience keeps calling just hoping that someone will listen. These words start to fall off my tongue and nobody hears them. Well, they said “It’s not enough for you”. Well, I’ll scream until my lungs fall through.
     A part of my heart is reserved for your child, but I fear it foresaw your own heart growing cold, so it ran away and left but the blood to remind that a part of you lingers inside. Well, a part of you was born inside of me, but it tore like a thorn through a worn out silk sleeve and it grew before we knew, but i swear that it tried, but that part of you inside of me has died.

Well,

Track 2: My Body is a Jar

I cannot control my brain, the things it wants, the things it’s saying.
I cannot control my head. If I say die, it thrives instead.
I cannot control my brain, what it wants and what I want are not the same.
It wants me to walk through walls, but I’m perfectly happy just opening doors.
If I’m a light bulb, then it’s the sun, for the things it thinks can’t be undone.
Unlike me, I’m off with a switch.
And that switch? Well my brain is in control of it.

Unfortunately, my brain is, misfortunately, trapped inside my body.

My brain’s just a mass in a body that is small.
When I become a human doormat it becomes a human wall.
The brain is intelligent, the head is smart, but the body is stupid for the body is the heart.
When my brain says “Wander, and do not stay the same”, well my body finds a place to attach a ball and chain.
When the brain writes “Initiative, you better find it”, my body digs a holy little hole for us to hide in.

But,
If I’m part A, and she’s part B, then naturally that makes you part C. One day part A spoke with part B and said some things sarcastically, but part B took them all very seriously. Trying to be a good friend, well she told part C. Part C thought part A was talking smack and told part A she was never coming back. Part A got mad, really confused, but not realizing part B misconstrued things that they had said before, but it’s too late, part C shut the door. So out of pure anger and being upset, part A said some things, hasn’t fixed them yet. Part A can’t contact part C, and that’s where problem part one might be.

Unfortunately, my brain is, misfortunately, trapped inside my body.

We are really excited to share our brand spankin’ new music video for “My Body is a Jar” with you guys. Jeff Riley filmed it and I guess he is pretty cool. We are all incredibly thankful for this opportunity and stoked to release this. So, here it is!

Hey everyone! Kelc here. This post will be fairly informal, but we are humans, capable of casual conversation, right? We want to keep it as real with all of you as possible. None of us have ever pursued music simply to build a fan base. Rather, I would like to think of it as a friend base. With that said, let’s all be friends and talk about what is yet to come.

Some of you may be wondering what the hold up is with us. How dare we give you our name, a facebook, twitter and tumblr, all the while expecting you to stick around listening to the same song for weeks!

I am taking this opportunity to spin a little lasso to keep you in the loop. As some of you may or may not know, we have officially finished recording our first EP. We will be releasing more details on the launch date with all of that information soon. I know the beginning of this process is moving slowly, but I want to make sure that YOU know how much we appreciate your patience and attention while we sort out the final details.

In the mean time, we do have some shows coming up that we hope you can make it out to. We will be playing April 27th at The Attic in Kettering, as well as May 11th at Mote Park in Piqua. I have added links to the facebook events below to make it easy to check those out.

I will be continually updating this blog with photos, show dates, ridiculous things that come up in our conversations, and other small things to keep this as personable as possible. I am hoping this blog can be more than just a business like view into what we are doing musically.

I’m hoping this will turn into a place where you can peer through our little oval windows and find out what we are collectively, and individually, all about.
